One of the biggest delights in visiting New York is to see its wonderful skyscrapers, many of which, in their time held the record for the tallest building. A great day out can be had going on a skyscraper safari and climbing to the tops of some of the most iconic buildings around. The Chrysler Tower, Empire State Building and the Woolworth Building are a must.

Although the United Arab Emirates now stake claim to some of the tallest buildings in the world and cities such as Dubai have shopping malls that are the envy of the world New York still has an attraction for visitors from the UAE.  Non stop flights to New York from Abu Dhabi have now been scheduled by Etihad and operate daily.

Another reason for a New York holiday is purely to shop, the famous department store of Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s and Saks will always have some bargains. There are also the boutique shops and designer stores around Madison Avenue, Times Square and 57th Avenue. If trawling the racks and shelves is your idea of fun, New York is your paradise.
